How NFL Playoff Teams Are Seeded

Each division winner qualifies and takes seeds 1 to 4 in its conference by record. The three best remaining teams are wild cards, seeded 5 to 7. Ties are broken by head-to-head, then division or conference record, common games, strength of victory and strength of schedule. Only the No. 1 seed in each conference gets a bye.
