How the Bracket Simulator Works
1. Pick the Wild Card Round
Tap a team in each matchup (2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5 in both conferences). Only the No. 1 seed in each conference gets a bye, so they are already through.
2. Watch the bracket reseed
The Divisional Round fills in the way the NFL does it: the No. 1 seed gets the lowest remaining seed, the other two winners meet, higher seed at home.
3. Pick to the Super Bowl
Choose the two conference champions and your Super Bowl LXI winner. Changing an earlier pick clears the rounds after it.
4. Share it
Copy the link and your whole bracket travels with it. Picks are also saved in your browser, so you can come back and edit.

Rules the Simulator Follows
- 14 teams: four division winners (seeds 1-4) and three wild cards (5-7) per conference.
- Only the No. 1 seed in each conference gets a bye.
- Wild Card Round: 2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5; the higher seed hosts.
- Divisional Round reseeds: No. 1 v lowest remaining seed; the other two winners play each other.
- Conference Championships: higher seed hosts. Super Bowl LXI is at a neutral site, SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027.
- No ties: playoff overtime continues until a winner.

How does the predictor decide the Divisional Round matchups?
Exactly like the NFL: after your Wild Card picks the No. 1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed and the other two winners meet, higher seed at home. Change a Wild Card pick and the later rounds redraw.
Are my picks saved?
Yes, in this browser. “Copy link to my bracket” puts the whole bracket in a link anyone can open.
What do "Higher seeds win" and "Random" do?
Higher seeds win fills the bracket with chalk; Random picks every game by coin flip. Both can be edited afterwards.
Why did the matchups change since last week?
Until the regular season ends the seeds are projected from the standings, so they move with every result.
Is this the same as a playoff machine or bracket simulator?
Yes. It simulates the postseason with the real seeding and reseeding rules, always starting from the current seeds, and lets you share the finished bracket.
