How MLS Playoff Teams Are Seeded

Clubs are ranked by points within their conference (three for a win, one for a draw); ties are broken by wins, goal difference, goals scored, disciplinary points, then away and home records. The top nine in each conference qualify: 1 to 7 straight into Round One, 8 and 9 into the Wild Card match.

Every one of the 30 MLS teams listed here has its own page with record, seed, schedule and playoff path, all updated automatically. The playoff picture ranks the same teams by seed, and the bracket shows where they land.
